Jon Sanfratello

Jon Sanfratello is in his 28th year as an educator and serves as Assistant Superintendent at Genesee Valley BOCES in Western New York. He leads programs in Adult Education, Career & Technical Education, Alternative Education, and Special Education, while advancing regional workforce development efforts that connect education with industry needs.

A former social studies teacher, Jon transitioned into leadership as an assistant principal and special education coordinator. Over the past 13 years at BOCES, he has focused on building workforce pathways, strengthening partnerships with business and community organizations, and aligning programs to prepare students and adult learners for high-demand careers.

Jon is a strong advocate for meaningful professional learning, emphasizing collaboration, educator voice, and practical application to improve student outcomes. His work centers on aligning systems, building capacity, and creating opportunities where students, staff, and communities thrive.
