Kathleen Miller-Murphy, RN, BSN, CCE

Kathleen serves as the Director of Employee and Community Engagement for Crouse Health, where she leads the organization’s Workforce Development Program. In 2023, Crouse leadership made a strategic commitment to create long‑term opportunities for employees to GROW with Crouse.  Through multidisciplinary collaboration Crouse Health launched its  Workforce Development Program and Leadership Institute—initiatives designed to support the organization’s mission by recruiting, developing, and retaining top talent across Central New York.

By expanding access to educational and career‑advancement resources for both union and non‑union employees, these programs strengthen internal career pathways, increase job satisfaction, enhance organizational culture, and foster innovation throughout the healthcare system.

A registered nurse with more than 30 years of experience at Crouse Health and the broader community, Kathleen brings a unique combination of clinical expertise, strategic planning, and strong community partnerships to her role. Through collaborative work with higher education institutions, K–12 schools, community organizations, and the SEIU 1199 Training and Upgrading Fund, she has built—and continues to expand—a comprehensive Workforce Development Program that supports the future healthcare workforce in Central New York.
