Linda Veit, MPH
Assistant Vice President of Community Relations, Upstate Medical University
Linda is the Assistant Vice President of Community Relations at Upstate Medical University in the President ’s Office and is responsible for communicating and collaborating with community organizations.
She helps to build relationships and facilitate programs to promote disease prevention and address health issues while being a resource to connect people and organizations to health, education, and discovery at Upstate.
After many years in healthcare at Upstate Medical; from research to clinical trials, and most currently in public health, Linda’s community focus is to improve the health of under-resourced populations, which is a priority for Upstate.
She manages the community outreach activities and programs that include breast and colon cancer screening as well as programs for mental health, chronic disease, and healthcare career exploration for youth.
Linda fosters communication between Upstate and the surrounding communities to ensure that programs are effective and are focused on the needs of the population that Upstate serves.
