Dr. Marianne Niese
Project Director, Health CARES Consortium
Dr. Marianne Niese serves as the Project Director for the Health CARES Consortium, a group of eleven SUNY community colleges led by Onondaga Community College that are working on capacity building projects within their healthcare and social assistance programs. Their work is currently funded by a US Department of Labor Strengthening Community Colleges (round 2) grant. She is also a faculty member for the Direct Support Professional and Human Services programs at OCC.
Marianne has a master's degree in counseling and was a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio, where she lived for almost 20 years prior to returning to her home state of New York in 2023. After working in the counseling field early in her career, Marianne has now spent over a decade in various faculty and leadership roles in higher education. Marianne earned her PhD in Educational Leadership from the University of Dayton in 2022.
